The best way to understand a country’s culture is through its passions. So, use your opportunity as you students travel Spain to see either a football or a tennis match, as well as the traditional show of bullfighting.

If you’d like to see two of the greatest football teams in Europe, you and your friends may want to attend a Barcelona or Real Madrid match. You can also visit their stadiums and museums. If you take the Santiago Bernabéu tour, you will have the chance to see Real Madrid’s sporting facilities. Or, if you take the Camp Nou tour, you will see Barcelona’s, as you go over their history.

If you like tennis and you attend a Davis Cup match, you may be able to see the best Spanish players. The tournament is normally played from March to December though rounds or ties, as they are called, are usually played every two months. Tickets need to be booked in advance.

To take a closer look to the roots of the Spanish culture, bullfighting is another show that you must see as you student travel in Spain. Visit any of Madrid’s, Sevilla’s or Málaga’s bullrings and experience this Spanish passion.

If you are in Barcelona, it’s a good idea to visit the Villa Olímpica, built to host the athletes in 1992 Olympic games. Take a tour round Barcelona’s new area with its modern buildings and visit the Puerto Olímpico, an amazing place full of bars and restaurants overlooking the sea.
