If you and your group of students travel to Spain, remember your trip won’t be complete unless you experience the Spanish ‘fiesta’ in bars and discos, as well as their local food.
To enjoy your study trip to the fullest, it’s a good thing to know that the Spanish have different business hours from any other country in Europe. So if you need to exchange some money, remember that most banks and public institutions have a long break at midday.
As most Spanish have dinner at about 9 PM, bars usually become crowded from 11 onwards. However, if you want to begin living the Spanish night earlier, you may try some tapas and some caña (beer) at any bar, or have some seafood like paella or fideua.
Students traveling in Spain will find bars to suit all tastes, from the traditional Spanish bar to the typical Irish pub. Some even offer the chance to dance on the premises. If you prefer dancing at a disco in any of the big cities, bear in mind that the Spanish night ends when the morning comes.
